Again, Coachella May Be Postponed Due to Coronavirus

Coachella

The pandemic forced the hands of Coachella organizers to postpone from April 2020 to October 2020. In the end, the Coachella 2020 edition was canceled altogether. With the next date being April 2021, there is a high possibility that the date may be shifted to October 2021, which leaves thousands who have purchased tickets in a limbo of what could happen.

If Coachella is moved to October 2021, it will mark the 3rd time it will be rescheduled due to concerns about Covid-19. Cancellation of live events is not just peculiar to only Coachella. Virtually all live concerts and festivals scheduled to hold have since canceled or rescheduled to a later date.

There’s no definite date in sight unless a vaccine is found and distributed to the public. Which means there’s no hope in sight yet for the music festival and other live events.

Previously, it was to hold April 10-12 and April 17-19, 2020. Later to October 9-11 and October 17-19, 2020.

This year marks the first time since 2000 that Coachella did not hold.

If not for the postponement, Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott, and Frank Ocean were to be the headliners for Coachella 2020 Music and Arts Festival.

Other artists in the proposed line-up include Big Sean, Calvin Harris, Flume, 21 Savage and many others. With no end in sight for the pandemic and absence of a vaccine, there’s a huge likelihood that events of such magnitude and population will not be holding.

What many are worried about currently is what we happen to tickets already sold. Whether the festival will still retain the line-up of artists whenever the next edition holds. Nonetheless, everyone awaits the decision of the organizers. While hoping that the pandemic will soon be a thing of the past.
