There’s rarely any artist that isn’t bothered about the understanding of music promotion. That’s why we’ll be taking time today to explain the basics of music promotion. To make it simpler to understand, we’ll be approaching it like a tweet. We’ll be sending out seven tweets about music promotion;
1/7- How will you feel after investing countless hours into your music. Through the process of recording, production, mixing, and mastering. 2/7- of course, you are in love with the whole process. That’s why you set up a release date, and you start hyping your music on social media. 3/7 Then comes the day, and you are fully pumped up to see your music making it to every billboard and playlist. Often, that’s not what happens. 4/7- Yes, you managed to get about 1000 plays and streams on streaming platforms, and you are happy about what’s to come. It dawned on you... 5/7- After a week or so, your album went into oblivion. No one is mentioning your music or talking about you. You get worried, just like every other artist. 6/7- No one is going to listen to your album. You got tired of checking Spotify as you discover you are the only one listening to your song. 7/7- That’s when you realize that something is missing, and it’s the understanding of music promotion.
